Flame response to transverse velocity excitation leading to frequency doubling and modal coupling

چکیده

Transverse thermoacoustic modes may occur in gas turbines, aero-engines, and rocket engines. Various scenarios of flame excitation can be observed, depending on the type transverse mode location relative to shape. If an acoustically compact, symmetric is exposed velocity fluctuations uniform strength direction, resulting modulation overall heat release rate invariant direction perturbation. It follows that dominant response occurs at twice forcing frequency, even for infinitesimally small oscillation amplitude. The present study proposes a modeling framework this inherently non-linear phenomenon, which relies second-order kernel Volterra series. As possible realization series, ad-hoc model proposed validated with CFD mono-frequency forcing. Furthermore, mechanism modal interaction established by frequency doubling causes unstable drive higher order stable mode, such near-resonance conditions exhibits elevated This explain observations made Urbano et al. (2016) small-scale thrust chamber, where radial appears exactly mode. A simple representative setup cylindrical combustion chamber used analytically.

Hypotensive response after resistance exercise leading to failure and not to failure in trained men

Hypertension is epidemic disease which post-exercise hypotension (PEH) is useful strategies for hypertension. The aim of present study was to investigate the effects of resistance exercise leading to failure (REF) and resistance exercise not to failure (NREF) on PEH phenomenon in trained men. Eight trained men (age: 22.12±1.81 yr; height: 179±3.44 cm; weight: 73.82±4.29 kg;...

Excitation-Contraction Coupling in Muscular Response *

When a stimulus is applied to muscle, the response is indicated first by excitation which is set up in the membrane of each reacting fiber, and then by contraction which is a function of the substance within the membrane. If stimulation is effected at a particular spot in a fiber by means of a directly applied cathodal electric shock or by arrival of a nerve impulse at an endplate, the state of...

analysis on response of dynamic systems to pulse sequences excitation

near-fault ground motions with long-period pulses can place severe demands on structures near an active fault. these pulse-type ground motions can be represented by pulse sequences with simple shapes. half-sinusoidal pulse sequences are used to approximate recorded ground motions and dynamic responses of sdof system under the excitation of these pulse sequences are studied. four cases are consi...

Application to Adaptive Control to Synchronous Machine Excitation

Self-tuning adaptive control technique has the advantage of being able to track the system operating conditions so that satisfactory control action can always be produced. Self-tuning algorithms can be implemented easily. Because the power systems are usually time varying non-linear systems and their parameters vary, adaptive controllers are very suitable for power systems. Characteristics of a...

The Response of Ventral Tegmental Area Dopaminergic Neurons to Bupropion: Excitation or Inhibition?

Introduction: Antidepressants can modulate brain monoamines by acting on pre-synaptic and postsynaptic receptors. Autoreceptors can reduce the monoamines effect on the somatodendritic or pre-synaptic regions despite its postsynaptic counter effects. The direct effect of some antidepressants is related to its temporal and spatial bioavailability in the vicinity of these receptors (still a matter...
